indigo EARTH NATUROPATHY – Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions, and Cancellation Policy
Effective Date: 31/10/2025
Indigo Earth Naturopathy respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal and health information. This Policy outlines how I collect, use, store, and disclose your information, and sets out the terms and conditions under which my services are provided. All practices comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
By engaging my services, booking a consultation, or visiting my website, you acknowledge and consent to this Policy.
1. Scope of Practice
I am a qualified Naturopath practising in accordance with Australian professional standards and ethical guidelines.
I provide evidence-based, holistic naturopathic care that supports your overall wellbeing through nutrition, herbal medicine, and lifestyle guidance.
I do not diagnose medical conditions, prescribe pharmaceutical medications, or claim to cure disease. My role is to complement, not replace, the care provided by your GP or other registered healthcare professionals.
If I believe your condition requires medical or allied support, I may refer you to the appropriate practitioner.
2. Services and Telehealth Consultations
All consultations are conducted online via telehealth only. You are responsible for ensuring you have a private, quiet space and a stable internet connection during your session.
I use secure, encrypted telehealth platforms to protect your privacy. Sessions are not recorded unless you have given explicit written consent.
Your consultation notes and treatment plans are stored securely in SimpleClinic, my encrypted, password-protected practice management system.
During each consultation, I gather health information to create a personalised treatment plan. Please ensure that all information you share is accurate and complete so that I can offer safe, effective care.
3. Information I Collect
To provide safe and effective naturopathic care, I collect information such as:
Personal details: name, date of birth, address, phone number, email, emergency contact
Health information: medical history, medications, allergies, pathology results, family history, lifestyle factors, treatment notes
Payment details: billing information and transaction data (processed securely; I do not store full card details)
Digital data: online bookings, emails, website analytics, cookies, and social media interactions
Information is collected directly from you, or from third parties with your consent (e.g., GP, allied health providers, or laboratories).
For minors, health information is collected from a parent or guardian where appropriate.
4. Purpose of Collection
Your personal and health information is collected to:
Provide safe, personalised naturopathic care and treatment plans
Maintain accurate clinical records and communicate about appointments or results
Process payments and manage administrative tasks
Meet professional, ethical, and legal obligations
Conduct quality assurance, auditing, and practitioner training (de-identified where possible)
I will never use your information for direct marketing without your explicit consent.
5. Storage and Security
Your information is stored securely in SimpleClinic and encrypted backup systems. I take reasonable steps to:
Prevent unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure
Ensure secure data transmission and storage
Destroy or de-identify information when no longer required by law or for clinical purposes
6. Disclosure of Information
Your information is only disclosed where necessary and with your consent, such as:
To other health practitioners involved in your care (e.g., GP, specialist, or pathology service)
To professional advisers, insurers, or regulatory bodies when required
When authorised by law (e.g., subpoena, public health reporting)
I do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties.
7. Access and Correction
You have the right to access or request correction of your personal information. Requests can be made in writing to: indigoearthnaturopathy@gmail.com
I will respond within a reasonable timeframe (usually within 30 days). A small administrative fee may apply for large record requests.
8. Online Data and Cookies
When you visit my website, limited information (such as browser type, IP address, and pages visited) may be collected via cookies or analytics tools to improve your browsing experience. You can disable cookies through your browser settings at any time.
9. Data Retention
Clinical records are retained for a minimum of 7 years from your last consultation, or until a minor client turns 25, as required by Australian health record legislation.
10. Cancellation Policy
Your appointment time is reserved just for you. I value your time and the time I dedicate to supporting your health and wellbeing.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice so that I can offer the appointment to someone else who may be waiting.
Cancellations and Rescheduling
Cancellations or reschedules made more than 24 hours before your appointment incur no fee.
Cancellations made within 24 hours, or if you don’t attend without notice, will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
Late Arrivals
If you arrive late, I’ll do my best to make the most of our remaining time, but your session may still end at the scheduled time to respect other clients. The full fee still applies.
Emergencies
I understand that life happens. If you’re unwell or have an emergency, please contact me as soon as possible — I’ll always do my best to be understanding and flexible.
Acknowledgement
By booking an appointment, you acknowledge and agree to this cancellation policy.
11. Payment, Refunds, and Fees
Full payment is required at the time of booking to confirm your consultation.
Refunds are not available once a consultation has been completed or a treatment plan provided.
Herbal and nutritional products are non-refundable for hygiene and safety reasons, except as required under Australian Consumer Law.
12. Health Responsibility
Your health journey is a partnership. I provide professional naturopathic advice, but you are responsible for implementing the recommendations and contacting your GP or other health professional for medical concerns or emergencies.
I always encourage you to maintain communication with your broader healthcare team to ensure integrated, safe, and holistic care.
13. Limitation of Liability
While every effort is made to ensure accurate, evidence-based, and safe care, I cannot guarantee specific outcomes.
Nature Heals Naturopathy and its practitioner are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from the use of services, products, or information provided, except as required under Australian law.
14. Complaints
If you believe your privacy has been breached or you have a concern about your care, please contact me directly at: naturehealsnaturopath@gmail.com
I will investigate and respond promptly.
15. Policy Updates
This Policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in legislation or clinic operations. Updates will be posted on my website and take effect immediately upon publication.

Your privacy, safety, and wellbeing are always my highest priority.
